
Colson Baker(born on April 22 in 1990), known professionally as Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor. He is known for his duality of genres spanning alternative rock with hip hop.Machine Gun Kelly released four mixtapes from 2007 and 2010, before signing with Bad Boy Records. In 2012 the singer released Lace Up his debut studio album. It reached the top spot at four in the US Billboard 200. It included his breakout single "Wild Boy" and was performed by Waka Flame. General Admission (2015) and Bloom (2016) were both commercially successful. The latter contained the hit single "Bad Things" with Camila Cabello, which peaked at the 4th spot on Billboard's Hot 100. His fourth album, Hotel Diablo (2019) featured hip-hop rock.Machine Gun Kelly debuted his fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall, in 2020. It was an abrupt departure from hip hop and an entry into pop punk. The lead single "My Ex's best friend" was the first single to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200. It was the first album by a rock artist to achieve this position. Mainstream Sellout, the album's sequel (1922) was commercially successful.
