Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best known for the roles she played on Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film who is producer. She began her career as an actress in theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. The actress became famous for her role as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes. In both these roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995 she made her acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest as Ariel. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. Film-wise she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. She is also well-known for her part in the crime drama series on ABC, High Incident.
